The next time you are petting your dog or cat, take a second to look at their teeth. If you notice any of the following symptoms, contact your veterinarian  for an oral exam.

• Persistent foul breath
• Red and swollen (inflamed) gums
• Plaque formation
• Brown material (tartar) on teeth (especially back molars)
• Bleeding, receding gums
• Loose teeth
• Infected teeth (pussy or greenish in color)
