Pet Travel - CERTIFICATES OF VETERINARY INSPECTION:
WE ONLY DO THIS SERVICE FOR CURRENT PATIENTS!
For pet travel out of the US and to certain states there are specific requirements - Dr. Smith is a USDA Accredited Veterinarian certified to do the paperwork and associated treatments for travel. This process can be very stressful, expensive and time-consuming, the USDA is currently short-staffed so timing is critical for international travel especially. We require the owners to research and determine if there are additional requirements that do not involve a veterinarian such as point of entry import permits, airline specific forms or quarantine on arrival. If you are traveling with a dog to countries listed as “rabies risk” and plan to return to the USA- the CDC requires a new additional return form-this needs to be completed PRIOR to the pet leaving the country. If the pet was vaccinated for Rabies outside the USA they also require Rabies titer (blood antibody testing).
